Lodestone R3 is all about building and revitalizing communities as an act of empowerment, capacity building, discovery, and problem-solving, by and for the people who make up the community being served. The name reflects this commitment in the following ways:
A Lodestone is a naturally magnetized material used in antiquity as a tool for navigation. For us, Lodestone represents the identification and use of assets we naturally and collectively possess, right now. When we use what we have to make happen what we want, a type of magnetic power gets switched on and the amazing happens in everyday experiences.
R3 = revitalization, resilience, and resonance
- Revitalization is the challenge and opportunity to empower people, families, and communities to capture a sense of purpose and mission that inspires creativity and solves problems. LR3 encourages the (re)building of the places we call home through creativity and problem solving within a collaborative facilitation. Thus, we call revitalization our “build” factor.
- Resilience is our invitation not to ‘quit’ until we are satisfied with the outcome. Resilience is that inner determination and outward demonstration of our human will to push through obstacles while progressing toward our dreams and visions. Thus, resilience is our ‘bounce’ factor
- Resonance is the rhythm and flow that ties things together. It is the heart and soul of everything. We understand resonance is key to our collective success. Thus, this is our ‘breathe’ factor.
